Spoken For Magazine is a Christian magazine for and by local young people, including college students. Contained in its pages are articles and other pieces meant to encourage and strengthen other local believers. These are often in the form of testimonies of what God has done in people’s lives, informative articles about things various Christians have learned about their faith, poetry and stories about Christ, or just something that God has laid on a person’s heart. These articles often follow a common theme for each issue, and the diversity of writers lends a broad perspective on each topic.

Articles are mostly written from the perspective of a Christian student, so readers can easily relate to a writer’s thoughts. This creates a sense of community among local young people. Readers and writers usually know each other, and there is the opportunity to see a writer live out what he or she has written. That is one way that SFM is very effective in its goal to encourage local Christian young people to grow in their faith.

CAF/BLAST funds distribution of the magazine on OWC’s Niceville campus, thus expanding the distribution area to include more college students than SFM had before in its readership. As two of the staff members frequently visit the Niceville campus and help distribute SFM, this ministry is becoming more effective.
